Bonnie Helen (Patterson) Olesnevich

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved Bonnie, after a courageous 30 year battle with cancer, on March 11, 2018, age 74, of West Homestead. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Steffan) Patterson.  Devoted and beloved wife of 52 years of Ted Olesnevich; loving and caring mother of Denise (Dan) Barrett, Jon (Sandy) Olesnevich, Mick (Tracy) Olesnevich and the late Craig (wife Jill survives) Olesnevich; sister of Carolyn, Sam and the late Pat and Sandy; proud grandmother of Brooke, Sarah, Erin, Rachel, Morgan, Meghan, Colin, Bethany and Brooke; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Bonnie served as a secretary for the State Dept. in Washington, DC and also an executive secretary for Kaufmanns.  She loved gardening, flowers and nature and she enjoyed traveling and experiencing new foods and cultures.  Family was everything to her and she devoted her life to them.  She lived everyday with her faith in God and was a wonderful example to her family to follow her strength, courage and faith.  She will be forever loved and sadly missed by all those who knew her.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 PM.  A Funeral Mass and celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, 11:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Homestead.
