Edward A. Bakota

Of Munhall, on November 4, 2014, age 89.  Beloved husband of the late Marie (Kowalska) Bakota; son of the late John and Bernice Bakota; beloved father of daughters Eileen (Paul) Balogh and Denise (Larry) Tuttle, sons Donald (Darlene) Bakota and David Bakota; dearest grandfather of Christine Balogh – Yantos, Mike (Alicia) Bakota, Carrie (Jason) Bazala, Jeff (Danielle) Bakota, Jill (Mike) Callahan, Steven Ninehouser, Phil Ninehouser and Kevin Ninehouser; special “Pappy” to Joshua and Nathan Bazala, Jocelyn and Kennedy Bakota, Carter and Sydney Callahan; brother of Ted (Flo) Bakota and the late Anne Bakota, Stanley Bakota and Walter Bakota.  Edward was an Army veteran serving during WWII and retired from U. S. Steel Homestead Works “Big Shop”.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.  Donations may be made to Forbes Hospice, c/o Forbes Health Foundation, 2570 Haymaker Rd., Monroeville, PA 15146-9917 in Edward’s name.   Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm.  Funeral Mass Thursday 10:00 am, St. Therese Church, Munhall.
