Edward John Monkelis

Age 69, of West Mifflin, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 19th, 2015. Born in Pittsburgh on June 15th, 1945 to the late Edward Frank and surviving Laura Jakielo Monkelis; beloved husband of 38 years to the late Diane Lynn Monkelis; son-in-law of the late John "Scotty" and Thelma Baird Caldwell; loving father of Lori (Chris) Slekar, Jeanlynne (David) Thomas, and Meredith (Mark) Miller; survived by 8 grandchildren: Shawn, Brendan, Elizabeth, Joshua, Jacob, Jarrett, Tripp, and Cormac. Ed was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired driver for Port Authority. Friends and family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life Mass on Tuesday at 11:00am at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, 1 St Therese Ct, Munhall, PA 15120.
