John G. Murphy

Of Munhall, on January 12, 2015, age 94.  Beloved husband of 49 years of Helen (Ripper) Murphy; brother of Edward (Bernie) Murphy and the late David, Paul and Donald Murphy; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Jack was a Veteran of the Navy serving in WWII. He was an independent insurance agent and ran Murphy Insurance for 35 years in Munhall.  After retiring from the insurance business, he didn't want to be idle, so he worked faithfully everyday with his wife for 17 years for American Expediting. He was a hard worker and worked all of his life.  Jack was also a former member of Duquesne Golf Club.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Wednesday 2-8 PM.  A Blessing Service will be Thursday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
