Kathleen (Kascak-Kovaly) Spangler

Passed away after her battle with cancer. Kathy was born, raised, and continued to reside in West Mifflin.  She has been surrounded by her loving family and friends through her fight.  She is survived by her husband, Raymond Spangler and her three children: Bethany (Patrick)  Canavan of Elizabeth, PA, Katie (Roger) Spreen of Columbus, OH, Keith (Jessica) Kovaly of West Mifflin; her super hero, grandson, Mason Patrick Canavan and shining star granddaughter, Stella Dee Canavan; also survived by her mother, Dolores Kascak (late Joseph), sister, Joyce (Verge) DalBon of Bethel Park, PA, brother, Joseph (Sue)  Kascak of Kennerdell, PA, 5 nieces and 3 nephews, 2 great nephews, and a great niece. Please celebrate her love of life and her never-ending fight for that life at SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Sunday from 2-8 PM. A Blessing Service will be Monday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin, PA.  Donations may be made to Magee Women’s Hospital Oncology and Research and The Cancer Caring Center providing free counseling for patients and families.
