LAURA R. MONKELIS (JAKIELO)

Of Munhall, formerly of the South Side, was called home on October 18, 2016, age 100.  Beloved wife of the late Edward Frank Monkelis; mother of the late Edward J. Monkelis; sister of the late Paul Jakiela, Jean Mitrick, Clara Stuckert, August Jakielo and Bernard Jakielo; grandmother of Lori (Chris) Slekar, Jeanlynne (David) Thomas and Meredith (Mark) Miller; also survived by eight great grandchildren.  Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Saturday 9 am to 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Therese Church, Munhall.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Concordia Lutheran Ministries of Pittsburgh, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
