Mary M. (Krivinko) Yano

A lifelong resident of Duquesne and West Mifflin, Mary passed away on November 19, 2015 at the age of 96.  She was born in Duquesne on February 26, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Kashula) Krivinko. She was the wife of the late Andrew M. Yano; mother of the late James “Jay” (wife, Anne Griffin survives) Yano; grandmother of Marjorie, Madeline (Pat) McCrann, and Max; great grandmother of Everett James McCrann; sister of the late Margaret “Margie”, John, Michael and Andrew; aunt of Dr. Dennis Krivinko (Nancy), Bob Krivinko, Tom Krivinko and Donna Farrer; sister in law of Regina Krivinko; cousin of Margaret Wyles; also survived by several great nieces and nephews.  Mary was a member of Resurrection Church in West Mifflin, the Auxiliary of the Sisters of St. Francis, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Homeville Fire Department, Lifespan of the Duquesne Senior Citizens and “SOARS” Chapter 1510.  During World War II, she was employed by US Steel Homestead Works in the Cost and product Departments.  She later worked for and retired from the Secretary’s Office of the Borough of West Mifflin.  Mary deeply appreciated her care givers and dear friends Dolores Belich, Theresa Corso and Jim Wilson and all others who provided help and support to her in so many ways. There will be no visitation. A Committal Service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park on Friday at 1 PM. The family suggest memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), 533 W. Uwchlan Avenue Downingtown, PA 19335 or the charity of your choice.
