Of West Mifflin, On February 1, 2018, age 87. Born September 22, 1930 in McKeesport, PA to the late George and Anna (Makar) Rosko; sister of the late George (wife, Marion, survives) Rosko; aunt of Renee Rosko and Richard Rosko. Mary Ann was a 1948 graduate of Duquesne High School, Homestead Hospital School of Nursing and Chicago Lying-In Hospital School of Nursing. She served in the U. S. Army Nurse Corp from 1955 to 1958. Upon returning from active duty she joined the Army Reserve 339th General Hospital, Pittsburgh and retired after ten years of service with the rank of Captain. Mary Ann was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Duquesne, the Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of McKeesport, Music Club of McKeesport, Garden Club of Munhall and Registered Nurse Club of Southwestern PA. She enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling. Mary Ann was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who in 2017 for her career achievements in nursing. Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Parastas Service 2:30 pm. Funeral Liturgy, Wednesday, 10:00 am, Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne. Burial with military honors will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
