Robert H. Oster Jr.

Of Level Green, on March 31, 2018, age 77.  Son of the late Robert Sr. and Claudia Oster; beloved husband of 51 years of Mary Jane (Rubinchak) Oster; father of Karen (Jack) Oster and Robert (Ashley) Oster III; brother of David (Toni) Oster and the late Jennifer (husband Joseph survives) Normand; brother in law of Joseph (Joan) Rubinchak; grandfather of Ryan Michael, Christian and Aubree; also survived by nieces and nephews.  Robert graduated from Waynesburg University with a degree in business.  He retired from US Steel as a division supervisor with over 40 years of service working in both Homestead and Irvin Works plants where he was a member of the US Steel Junior Achievement.  Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and loved to hunt with his best friends on his farm in Waynesburg.  He was a member of the Trafford Sportsman’s Club.  He also had a special love for his dogs.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A Blessing Service will be Thursday, 11:30 AM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the National Children’s Cancer Society (www.thenccs.org)
