Of Lincoln Place on February 2, 2012, peacefully and surrounded by family.  Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 50 years, Margaret “Peg” (Korhnak) Chalus; beloved father Susan Waller (Todd), John Chalus Jr. (Kathy Brown), Eric Chalus (Darla McKivens), Timothy Chalus (DeAnne Vernon), Michael Chalus (Brandi Hart), Peter Chalus, Randall Chalus and Pamela Hruby (Santo); also survived by 16 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousin, Eleanor Dip (Manuel). Son of the late John Chalus and Mary Hrasczyna; brother of the late Carolyn Jenkins. John was a veteran of the US Navy, a pipe fitter and instructor for U. S. Steel and retired from Allegheny County Maintenance Department.  He was devout Catholic and his favorite pastime was his family.  Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc. 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Saturday and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass Monday 11:30 am Holy Angels Church, Hays.

Peg our prayers and blessings go to you and your wonderful family. We have enjoyed living next door for over 29 years and have always found you and John to be the best neighbors and friends. We have shared our kids growing up and our lives changing. John will always be in our hearts as good friend and neighbor. Thank you for the great memories, John will be missed. We are hear if you need us for anything, anytime please know we care.
