Thomas J. Breznai, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2020 at the age of 73. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kathleen (David) Nelson; sisters, Margaret McDonald, Elisabeth Kane, and Mary Louise Veltri; brothers, Stephen and Andrew Breznai; and dear traveling companion, Lois Allen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Breznai (Vogt); son, Richard Breznai; and parents, Thomas A. and Margaret (Stupar) Breznai. Tom earned both his bachelor's degree in science with a major in education and master of arts degree in education from Duquesne University, and retired after 30 years of teaching English at West Mifflin Area High School. He was a volunteer tutor for the Pittsburgh Literacy Council. He was a very active member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church where he served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister, enjoyed participating in their Men's Club, and volunteered much of his time to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
