Brett and Val,
No matter how old we are, losing a daughter is one of the deepest sorrows a parent can know. But Ashley's memory lives on in your hearts - like a legacy of love that will always be with you. I imagine there is no pain more far reaching and deeper than losing a child. It might seem impossible for the extreme sadness and grief we feel at the loss of a child to ever diminish or decrease; however, Jesus Christ is our hope and our salvation, and He can turn our mourning into comfort. God wants to encourage us and relieve our suffering if we will just go to Him at all times. And, His word is powerful enough to bring healing and solace even during our darkest hours.
Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time. With our deepest sympathy, may you feel God's comforting presence during this time of sorrow.
