Delbert "Duke" Hess

age 87, formerly of Lincoln Place, passed away on December 4, 2013 at HPH Hospice Care Center in Spring Hill Florida. He was born on April 6, 1926 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of Howard and Vallie (Ward) Hess. Duke served in the United States Marines during World War II and was with the first Marine Division landing on Okinawa. He was the former manager of Standard Sportswear in Homestead and a big fan of the Steelers. Duke is survived by his wife Rose, three sons, Dale, James and Duane, 3 brothers Harvey, Darrell and Gary, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and loving family. Visitation will be Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Brewer Memorial Funeral Home, 280 Mariner Boulevard Spring Hill Florida. Burial will be held Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:30am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In Lieu of flowers, donations to be made to HPH Hospice Care Center. 12107 Majestic Blvd, Hudson Florida 34667.
