Erma J. (Aubele) Chuba

Of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 5, 2017, age 92.  She was born on November 6, 1924 to the late Gilbert and Josephine Aubele and was raised in Swissvale, PA.  The youngest of four children, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gilbert Aubele, Regis Aubele and Mary Helen Bustabade. In 1949 she married Francis “Frank” Chuba, who preceded her in death.  They moved to West Mifflin, PA and together raised six children: Frank (Dee) Chuba, Kathleen (Clark) Murdock, Theresa (Denny) Ratti, Annette “Nettie” (Joe) Nowak, Mary Rocco and Greg (Katherine) Chuba.  Grandma was dearly loved by her ten grandchildren: Donna Chuba, Charles (Katie) Chuba, Robert (Tiffany) Chuba, Jeff Summars, Dean Ideluca, Angela Simeon, Adam and Alana Rocco, Sara (Scott) Kostelnik and Mike Chuba. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Erma was an avid bowler and belonged to the St. Anselm Ladies Bowling League for 55 years.  She also loved dogs and cared for many during her lifetime.   Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Monday 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm and Tuesday 9 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 10:00 am.  The family requests that you consider a memorial contribution to the organizations that provided comforting end-of-life care to Erma: Heidi’s Haven Assisted Living/Memory Care, 1215 LaSalida Way, Leesburg, FL, 34748 or Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL, 32778.
