Evelyn Helene (Davis) Semancik

Of Buckeye, AZ, originally from Homestead, passed away on April 7, 2018, age 77,  surrounded by her loving family.  She was born to Helen and Edward Davis on January 3, 1941 in Homestead, PA. Evelyn married George Semancik in 1961.  Together they raised their family, made their friends, fulfilled their careers, and spoiled their grandchildren in New York, California, Maryland, New Hampshire, and Virginia before retiring to Arizona in 2005.  They enjoyed many traveling and dining adventures throughout their years together. Never shy, she never hesitated to strike up a conversation with the many people she met along the way.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, George Semancik; her children: Greg of Anchorage, AK; and Jeff, and his wife Tricia, of Mystic, CT. She will eternally be Baba to her six grandchildren—Kristin, Lisa, Eileen, Michael, Lauren and Rachel. In passing, she joins her mother, father, and recently-departed sister, Diana Lucas. 

Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Panachida Service Friday, 7 pm.  Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 903 Ann Street, Homestead, 

1 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2 pm.  Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, West Mifflin.
