Of West Mifflin, on October 25, 2018, age 97, after a life well lived. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Celestine “Sal” Schich (Wintruba); survived by daughter, Mary Louise (Donald) Watson of West Mifflin, a grandson, David L. Watson of West Mifflin, a granddaughter, Kelly S. (Richard) Ralston of Bethel Park, a great-granddaughter Maura Ralston, a sister, Josephine “Josie” Beres and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary (Thedberry) Schick, Sr., brothers, Edward, Louis, Jr., Charles, Steven, Frank, and Marshall “Mutts” Schick, sisters, Mary Wolak, Elizabeth Gustashaw, Teresa Yousko, Pauline Morgan and Anna Schich, and a great-granddaughter, Abby Victoria Ralston. Ralph was a WWII veteran serving in the Naval Air Corp as a 1st Class Aerial Gunner and retired from U. S. Steel Homestead Works with 40 years of service. After the war, along friends and family, he built the Lucky Leven Hunting Camp in Marienville, PA where he spent many happy times. He loved the outdoors, fishing and gardening and with great pride gave away much of what he grew to family and friends. Most of all, family was his greatest love. Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass Monday, 11:30 am, Resurrection Church, West Mifflin.
