of West Homestead, on May 21, age 86. Daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Frederick) Despot; Beloved wife of the late Michael Monaghan; Mother of Kelly (Ronald T.) Curran of Thornburg; Stepmother of Rachel Monaghan; Sister of Bernadette Richards, Lorraine “Bebe” Despot, and the late Margaret Sapos, John Despot, George “Rusty” Despot and Larry Despot; step grandmother of Katelyn Creek. Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home inc., 3501 Main St. Munhall on Thursday 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 9 PM. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 AM St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Homestead. Rita loved traveling with her husband, Michael, who was a riverboat captain with the Delta Queen Steamboat Co.
