Ruth E. (Cush) Pitchford

Of Munhall, on August 18, 2018, age 96.  Daughter of the late James and Margaret (Boyle) Cush; beloved wife of the late Walter T. Pitchford; loving mother of W. Timothy (Helen) Pitchford, Mary Margaret (late Joseph) Karscig, Eileen (Kevin) Mathers, Ann Schuler, Daniel J. (Anita) Pitchford, Kathleen Pitchford and Carol (Joseph) Deasy; grandma of 20 beautiful grandchildren; beloved great grandmother of 20; predeceased by 10 older siblings; beloved Aunt Ruthie to many nieces and nephews; dear friend of the late Thomas “Robbie” Robson.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be Saturday 10 AM at St. Therese Church, Munhall.  Ruth was a former switchboard operator for Bell of PA and Homestead and Jefferson Hospitals.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Therese Church, former resident of St. Therese Plaza and member of St. Therese Senior Group.  She was also a member of AARP 3172. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of Manor Care Whitehall and Heartland Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to St. Therese School.
