On September 30, 2024, Heaven gained a wonderful man! Albert Gardner passed away peacefully at the age of 91. He resided in West Mifflin and was a welder by trade and a talented artist. He proudly served in the United Stated Navy during the Korean War. Albert enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins, frequenting thrift stores and working in his garage. He was able to draw with two hands at the same time and made beautiful metal sculpting. He was the beloved husband of 56 years of the late Patricia (Bornak) Gardner; loving father of Timothy (Donna) Gardner, David (late David Mensing) Gardner and Loriann (Donald) Palmer; proud grandfather of Brandon (Jena) Gardner, Elliot Gardner, Tanner Gardner, Brian Palmer and Henry Palmer; cherished great grandfather of Brixton and Finley Gardner. He loved entertaining his grandchildren on many adventures and adored each of them as his blessings. Albert was a special guy who helped everyone he knew. His optimistic attitude was his greatest attribute. He will be sorely missed by his children and grandchildren, but his spirit will live on in all of them. Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10 AM at St. Therese Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Condolences may be left at www.swgfuneralhome.com
