Alice M. (Martin) Grib

Alice Martin Grib, a longtime resident of Munhall, PA, passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 97. She was born on May 12, 1925 in Homestead, PA, to John and Veronica (Mihach) Martin, the first of four siblings. Alice grew up and went to school in Homestead, then later to meet the love of her life, Stanley Grib, who was enlisted in the Navy when they first met. It was “ love at first sight!” She gave birth to three children, Danny, Carol and Ray, and raised them in their home in Munhall. Alice was very outgoing and had a dynamic personality, making many friends throughout her career working at Pittsburgh’s County office. She was an impeccable cook and excellent baker! She was known for baking for weddings, social events and for her family. Alice had a deep faith in God and was a lifelong Catholic. On Sunday, March 2, 2014, Alice accepted Jesus into her heart at Jefferson Hospital! She and Stanley loved traveling to Maui, Hawaii often throughout the years, visiting their two grandchildren along with their daughter, Carol, and her husband, Herman. Alice leaves a “ long-life and good day” legacy behind and will be missed terribly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Grib, Carol Marie Haupu, and Raymond Grib; grandchildren, Leslie (Michael) McDermott, Lori (Terry) Holman, and Keleka and Kamalei Haupu; great-grandchildren Joy, Kashten, Zachariah, Jeremiah, and Nolan; and broter, Bernard Martin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Grib; and parents, John and Veronica (Mihach) Martin.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 27, 11 AM - 1 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120.
