Andrew J. Oross, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 26, 2023.
He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Andrew and Mary (Danchisin) Oross and his beloved granddaughter Mallory. He was the husband of Helen (McMahon) Oross; father of Ronald P. (Lisa) Oross, Linda M. (Henry) Willrich, and David A. (Kimberly) Oross; brother of the late Eleanor (late Raymond) Hovan; grandfather of Molly (Matthew) Stoner, Jensen (Shayna Baronti) Oross, Matthew (fiancé, Jessica Zaborowski) Oross, and Zachary (Jessica Forster) Oross; great-grandfather of Owen Michael Stoner; Andrew was loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Andrew lived a life filled with service, faith, and family. He served in the United States Army with distinction. He worked as a patternmaker for Mesta Machines and General Motors. He enjoyed many hobbies, such as playing softball, golfing, bowling, woodworking, playing games and building puzzles with family. He was a diehard Steeler fan. Andrew was faithful and dedicated to Resurrection church serving as an altar server and was awarded the “Manifesting the Kingdom Award” from the Catholic Dioceses of Pittsburgh. But most importantly, he was all about his family.
Family and friends will be received Friday, July 28, 2 – 8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 29, 10 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Homestead. Interment will follow at St. Elias Cemetery, West Mifflin.
