Anita J. Haney

Anita J. Haney, of West Homestead, was welcomed home by her beloved late companion of 34 years, John L. Garofalo, Jr., on January 15, 2025, at the age of 77.

She is survived by her adoring "chosen children," Dena (Darryl) Genes, Michael (Amy) DeAngelo - her "godbaby," and Kimberly (Adam) Carb; treasured "Mammaw" of Shelby, Abby, Lexie, and Haley, Alyssa, Becca, and Kaylee, and Levi and Ava; daughter of the late Clyde R., Sr., and Isabelle L. (Workman) Haney; sister of Clyde R. "Bud" (Diane McMurray) Haney, Jr.; aunt of Joseph (Jess Farren), Jason (Trisha), and Michael (Hannah) Haney, Jessica (Brian) Kisling, and James and Michael McMurray; and great-aunt of Ainzley, Stella, Lucia, Mauro, Maeve, and Rilynn; She was preceded in death be her best friend, Karen DeAngelo.

Anita worked as the Business Office Manager for the Greater Pittsburgh YMCA for 47 years. She loved visiting casinos and attending the dog races, watching her beloved Steelers with her close friend, Carol Dornin, and loved spending time with her grandkids, especially on their lunch dates. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 1-4 & 6-9 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 20, at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Allegheny Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
