Ann Margaret (Polacok) Kusek

Born on October 5, 1931 and passed away on June 8, 2020 at Southwestern Health Care in Jefferson Hills.   Ann was a resident of Munhall and long-standing member of St. Rita Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William (2010), her parents Anna and John Polacok and her sisters Mary Petrisko and Helen Palmer.  Ann leaves a lasting legacy of 5 children, Patti Pietropola (George), Karen Matthews (Al), Linda Duda (Ron), Jeffrey Kusek (Lisa) and Lisa Winters (Mike); 11 grandchildren, Michael Duda (Paula), Gina Voinovich (Steve), Kimberly Miller (Chris), Julie Wakefield (Kevin), Jennifer Leshnock (George), Tim Matthews (Jodi), David Kusek (Leah), Elizabeth Cortese, Emily Sharro (Anthony), Kayla and Gabby Winters.  She also was blessed with 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother John Polacok of Avon Lake, Ohio.  Ann was an avid animal lover and enjoyed walking her favorite dogs, Maya & Lucy.  She was a woman ahead of her time and joined the workforce while still raising 5 children to earn money for extras for them.  Ann was a great cook and passed down her Slovak recipes of stuffed cabbage and nut rolls to her family.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street Munhall, on Wednesday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, 10:00 AM at St Rita Catholic Church, Munhall. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contribution to Animal Friends or Alzheimer’s Association.
