Anthony Perhac Obituary

Anthony E. "Tony" Perhac, age 89, of West Mifflin passed away suddenly on January 1, 2021.  He was born in Munhall, PA and was preceded in death by his parents John and Barbara Perhac, his brothers John Perhac, Jr. and Ed Perhac, and his sisters Ann Chontos and Mary Barkin.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Arlene Perhac, his 3 children Ilona Scanlon (Bob), Jo-Dee Billy (Larry) and Regis Perhac (Michelle) as well as 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  He was devoted to his wife and extended family.  Tony served his country in the Army, then was employed as a steelworker at US Steel Homestead Works until retirement.  He was past president of Woodman of the World Lodge 275 and a proud 60 year member of AA where he served as a sponsor to many people.   He enjoyed woodworking and gave his handmade crosses to many people world wide.  A private funeral mass will be held for immediate family.  The burial and larger celebration of his life will be arranged for a date later in the spring.  In lieu of flowers Tony would want you to make a donation to a charitable or religious organization like St. Therese of Lisieux School, 1 Saint Therese Court, Munhall, PA 15120.  Condolences may be left at www.swgfuneralhome.com.
