Barbara (Grillo) Truman Smith

Mrs. Barbara Truman Smith, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at the age of 81. 

She was the wife of Mark Bauerle and the late Edward J. Smith; mother of Daniel (Melissa) Truman of Slippery Rock, PA; step-mother of Edward J. (Jocelyn) Smith of Pittsburgh, PA, and Dr. Christine (Julie Konik) Smith of Sheboygan, WI; grandmother of Tyler and Dylan Truman; daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (Lorenzini) Grillo of Butler, PA; sister of Betty Weisenstein; also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was the best friend of the late Arlene; and was eagerly greeted at the Rainbow Bridge by her beloved dogs, Petey and Pedro. 

Barb was a graduate of the Butler Area School District and earned her Associates Degree from Penn State University. She was a former employee of Bobbie Brooks, Inc., JC Penney, and most recently worked at Zales Corporation and Levine Furniture.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 5-7 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 14, 10 AM, at the St. Therese of Lisieux Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, where she will join the love of her life, Edward. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Friends.
