Bernadette M. (Gazda) Smider

Bernadette M. Smider, of Munhall, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years of the late John R. Smider; the mother of Mark (late Coleen; Debbie) Smider, Denise (George) Glumac, Brian (Terri) Smider, and David “Sam” (Mary) Smider; the sister of the late Clement (late Shirley and late Ruth) Gazda; the grandmother of Amanda, Cassie, Sara, Ryan, Leandra, Michael, Tyler, Alexandra, Austin, Nicholas, Samantha, and Benjamin; the step-grandmother of Chelsie, Michael, and Justin; the great-grandmother of Emma, Alanna, and Rebecca; the step-great-grandmother of Anthony, Evelyn, Zoey, Maddox, Emersyn, and Owen; the daughter of the late John and Mary (Petrick) Gazda; along with many surviving nieces and nephews.

She adored her family and loved spending time with her husband. One of her fondest memories was the time they spent together at the casino.

Friends and family to be received at the SAVOSLKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, 15120, on Thursday, October 16, 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 17, 10:30 AM, at the Holy Angels Church of the Blessed Trinity Parish, Hays. Interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15107 at 12:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Disabled American Veterans.
