Charles W. "Chuck" Freyer, Sr., on June 8, 2022. He was the wind beneath the wings of his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Katie (Schanck); and their children, Michele and John Kaschauer, Julie and Bryan Brain, and Chuck and Tracy Freyer. He was the world's greatest Poppy of Vincent and Tia Kaschauer, Trevor and Marissa Brain, and Jude Freyer.
He was greeted in Heaven by his loving parents, Charles R. and Genevieve Freyer; and his brothers, Bob and Eddie. He will be sorely missed by his surviving siblings, Joyce Freyer, Linda and Ken Rothbauer, Dale and Terri Freyer, Debbie and Rick Roma, Walt and Nancy Freyer, Linda (Bob) Freyer, and Debbie (Eddie) Freyer.
He will also be missed by his dear Mother-in-Law, Helen Gootee, Barb and Ray Schrader, Sue and Bill Latour, Elaine and Frank Balistreri, Bill and Teri Schanck, Chrissy and Dave Zoltun, and Dave and Allison Schanck.
Chuck was the very proud uncle of many loving nieces and nephews, and was blessed with many wonderful friends.
Chuck proudly served in the US Army and was a member of VFW 914. He was a retired Bus Operator for Port Authority and Director of the Greater Pittsburgh Soap Box Derby for over 25 years.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 12, 2-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 13, 10 AM, at St. Therese Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. A Committal Service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 10:30 AM, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Everyone please meet at the Cemetery.
