Daniel J. Halferty

Obituary

Daniel J. Halferty, of Lincoln Place, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 11, 2022, at the age of 64.

He was the beloved husband of 38 years of Karen (Sawl) Halferty; loving father of Cari (Chris) Finley and Janine Halferty; grandfather of Karlee Finley; son of the late William F. and Catherine (Joyce) Halferty; and brother of William J. (Diann), Edward G. (Mindy), Mary Beth, and Patrick M. (Elizabeth) Halferty; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dan was a 1976 graduate of Central Catholic High School, and worked for the City of Pittsburgh in their Public Works department. He had a passion for art and gardening, and loved music.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 14, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 10 AM, at the St. Therese of Lisieux Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
