Debra Knoch (Wassell), passed peacefully on January 25, 2021 with her adored son, Scott, holding her hand. Debbie is now reunited in glory with her parents, Jim and Sally Wassell, her brother, Jimmy Wassell and her husband and soulmate, David Knoch. She is survived by her son, Scott Haythorn, his wife, Meghan and her most beloved grandson, Tripp. Also mourning her passing are her stepdaughters, Jennifer Knoch Grunenberg, Amanda Knoch Harris (Jim) and her step grandchildren Sidney, Petra, David and James. Debbie loved her country and was incredibly proud of her son Scott’s and step-grandson James’ service for this country. Debbie will be lovingly remembered as someone who cared deeply for others, always nurturing and providing care for her family and friends. Her love of animals was incomparable and as a result, she rescued and loved many animals over the course of her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Debbie’s name to the Angel Fund at Riverside Veterinary Hospital, 513 2nd Avenue S, Elizabeth, PA 15037. And in her honor, considering donating blood at Vitalant, Debbie’s employer for 40 years.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. Masks and compliance with COVID-19 restrictions are required and the family asks that they be respected. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 30, 10 AM, at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, St. Therese of Lisieux Church, Munhall. Condolences may be left at www.swgfuneralhome.com.
