Denis Michael Hirkulich

Denis M. Hirkulich, of West Mifflin, passed away on May 23, 2024, at the age of 76.

He was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Plichta) Hirkulich; and the beloved brother of Marianne Hirkulich, with whom he was very close. They were side by side throughout his entire life, and he will be missed dearly. He is also survived by many cousins, and an abundance of friends, some of which have been present for over 70 years. He showed loved, kindness, and compassion to everyone in his life, and was generous to a fault; in return, he was loved by everyone he knew.

Denis proudly served in US Army, and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a 1970 graduate of Grove City College where he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Accounting. He went on to work in the Wealth Management Department with PNC Bank. Denis loved talking about sports and politics; he was an avid reader and always enjoyed learning new things.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28, 1:30 - 7:30 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Pennsylvania 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 10 AM, at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Homestead. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Little Sisters of the Poor (1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212) or the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (1 N. Linden Street, Duquesne, PA 15110).
