Diana L. (Matesic) Bakosh

Diana L. Bakosh, of West Mifflin, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family on October 15, 2023, at the age of 85.

She was welcomed home by her loving husband, the late Edward Bakosh, Sr., who passed in 2020; as well as her parents, John and Anna (Futrick) Matesic; and siblings, Anna Marie Nowins and John A. Matesic.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Sandy Bakosh and Darlene Brindle; cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Brindle and Sydney Sherlock; treasured great-grandchildren, Julian, Kaelyn, and Colton; sister, Joan (Jim) Everhart of Tyrone, PA; faithful furry companion, Chico; as well as generations of nieces and nephews, an extended family, and many friends.

Diana, a seamstress by trade, provided alterations and custom fashions for several clothing stores around the area, including American Eagle, Silverman's, and Kaufmann's. In 1965, she and her husband, Ed, founded Skyview Pools in West Mifflin. Their business has remained family-owned and operated, and is still thriving today. She was a phenomenal cook and baker; her handmade pierogies and bean soup will be missed by all.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to her devoted caregivers, especially Gayle, Penny, and Jen, as well as the hospice staff, who helped Diana live with dignity and grace in her final years.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 19, 3-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, where a Blessing Service will take place at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue shelter of your choice, or to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Pennsylvania (www.alz.org/pa).
