Dorothy C. (Ruffing) Barlas

Dorothy C. (Ruffing) Barlas, age 86, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in her home with family by her side. Dorothy was born in Munhall Borough to the late Nicholas and Rose (Steiner) Ruffing. Dorothy attended Munhall High School and was a member of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and mother to her husband Joseph and seven children. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barlas in 2006 and her daughters, Karen in 1952 and Linda in 2019. Dorothy is survived by her children and their spouses, Joseph (Margaret) of Wilmington, OH, Robert (Kathy) of Monongahela, Gary (Missy) of Munhall, Timothy (Robbin) of Dayton, OH and Cheryl (David) Richard of Harrisburg. Dorothy is also survived by her elder brother, John (Jack) and wife Patricia Ruffing and their children Debbie, Richard and Mark. Dorothy’s greatest joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Carolyn, Nicholas, Christine Carlson, James Satter, Faith, Andrew, Rebecca and Elijah, Emily Satter, Deamon Carlson and Aiden Satter. Her spiritual guidance and loving touch will be missed by all.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 28, 10:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Parish, 408 Baldwin Road, Pittsburgh, PA. 15207. A private burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Munhall, PA.
