She engaged in her studies and after graduating high school, Betty moved to Washington D.C. where she worked as an administrative assistant at the Pentagon during World War II. Upon her return to New Kensington, she met and married the love of her life, Lester R. “Fibber” Magee. They were blessed with 3 children, Cheryl, Sharon and Kathie. Betty devoted her life to caring for her husband, her children, and her family. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St Joseph’s Church in New Kensington for many years. She continued practicing her faith at St. Therese of Lisieux Church after moving to Munhall, PA.
