Frances Joan Urban

Frances J. Urban, of West Mifflin, was welcomed into eternal rest on February 9, 2024, at the age of 84.

She was the daughter of the late Stephen A. and Ann Marie Urban; beloved sister of Barbara Ann Urban; she is also survived by caring cousins and long-term friends. Frances was a member of St. Agnes Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.

She was a graduate of Vandergrift High School, and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Art Education from Carlow College, and her Masters in Education from Penn State University. She enjoyed traveling far and wide with her sister, Barbara, as well as arts and crafts, attending jewelry making classes, listening to symphony music, and was interested in supporting many environmental group concerns. She was an art teacher of 35 years at the West Mifflin Area Schools.

Arrangements entrusted to the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 17, 10 AM, at St. Agnes Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, West Mifflin. Everyone please meet at church. Private interment at St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery, Vandergrift.
