Helen Kish, age 89, formerly of West Mifflin, passed on April 7, 2025. Born November 1, 1935 to Helen (Vargo) and John Veseleny in Homestead, PA, she graduated from Munhall High School where she met her husband Don. They were married for 65 years before his passing October, 2020.
Helen was known by family, friends and associates for her amazing sewing skills. She worked tirelessly as a seamstress and tailor for most of her life. From the lovely curtains and pillows she made for her home to the clothes and costumes for her family, she loved the art of sewing. She also loved bingo, shopping, and being with family and friends.
Helen is survived by daughter, Denise (Joe) Wittkofski; son, Timothy (Maria) Kish; grandson, Nicholas (Danielle) Kish; granddaughter, Christine (Wyatt) Ochadlick; great-grand children, Macie, Lana and Finn Ochadlick, and Rosie, Lily and Charlie Kish; brother Tom (Katherine) Veseleny and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers William and Robert Veseleny, and granddaughter Annie (Kish) Duncan. Friends and family can be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main St, Munhall, PA, (412) 462-2288 on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 11, 2025, 10 am at St. Elizabeth Church in Pleasant Hills. Her burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peoples Oakland, peoplesoakland.org.
