James Paul Simcho

James P. Simcho, of Pittsburgh, passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 83.

He was the father of Cynthia (James) Simcho Hill, Thomas J. (Alexandra) Simcho, and Deborah (Marquis) Livingston; grandfather of Tristan and Trea Simcho, and Lauren and Amber Livingston; longtime partner of Janice Laughlin; son of the late James G. and Mary Margaret (Rots) Simcho; brother of Rita (the late Tony Eichelberger) Bean and the late John (the late Barb) Simcho; former spouse of Phyllis Simcho; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews.

After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in mechanical engineering, Jim spent his career working in robotics. He remained a loyal Pitt fan, and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and dancing.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 11, 10 AM, at the St. Therese of Lisieux Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Please meet at church. Inurnment will follow at St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, West Mifflin. Arrangements entrusted to the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120.
