Janice Marie Solo

Janice Marie Solo, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023, after celebrating her 61st birthday surrounded by family and friends. 

Daughter of the late James and Helen (Dufalla) Solo. Sister of Patricia (Brad) Basic and the late James Solo. Aunt of Christopher Solo, Ryan (Hilary) Donahoe, and Megan Gallagher. Great aunt of A.J., Rowan and Ruby.  Also survived by her best friends, Laura Evagues and Tammi O'Hern; brother-in-law, Kevin Donahoe; and several cousins. 

Janice was employed at Friendship Village of the South Hills. She was an 1980 graduate of West Mifflin North High School and was selected as MVP on her Junior High basketball team. Janice also earned her mechanic's license from the Rosedale Technical Institute. Janice loved her pets Shadow, Kit Kat and Mini. She enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors and with her niece and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janice's family would like to extend their warmest thanks to the staff at AHN Jefferson Hospital for their love and care during Janice's time of need.
