Jeanne Marie (Adams) Karr

Jeanne M. Karr, of Munhall, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on June 7, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born in York, PA, on July 2, 1946, and raised in West Mifflin, she was the daughter of John and Beatrice (Wilt) Adams.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 wonderful years, Richard Karr; siblings, John (Kathy) Adams, Carolyn (James) Kunkel, and Charles (Jo) Adams; as well as generations of nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as "Aunt Dee."

Jeanne modeled for Jaison's Department Store in McKeesport for five years and taught aerobics for eight years. Throughout her career, she worked as a personal secretary for Lectromelt Corporation and EMC, and later for ACE until her retirement. She also spent many years baking cookies and creating wedding cakes alongside her mother and sister. Jeanne enjoyed boating, hosting swim parties at her home, and spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, where she worshipped faithfully for more than 60 years. She was also a member of Christian Servitors and proudly served as its Vice President for four years.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 9, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120; casual attire requested. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 10, at 10 AM. Private interment at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Presbyterian Church (2800 Old Elizabeth Road, West Mifflin, PA 15122).
