Jesse Christopher Matta

Jesse C. Matta, of Belle Vernon, passed away in the warm embrace of his family on March 17, 2022, at the age of 49. He is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Kristie Janik; parents, David Matta and Roberta "Bobbi" (the late John) Kocsis Matta Lohr; brothers, Grant (Charity) Matta and Joshua Lohr; adored nieces and nephews, Brandon, Brooklyn, Gemma, Gavin, Laila, Kylia, Jaylah, David, and Theo; and his faithful pups, Penelope and Oliver.

Besides his step-father, John Lohr, he was also greeted in his next life by his grandparents, Albert and Jean Matta, and Robert and Jean Kocsis; and dear pup, Sidney.

Jesse was a charismatic soul who made all he met feel loved and cherished. He was an alumni of California University and the University of Pittsburgh, and had been a brother of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He enjoyed many hobbies; he was a prolific writer, singer and songwriter, an avid reader, and lover of history and comedy, and was a fervent supporter of equal rights. Jesse was also a co-founder and member of his beloved band, Chronic Groove.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 21st, and Tuesday, March 22nd, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd, 10 AM, at the Calvary Baptist Church of West Mifflin. EVERYONE TO MEET AT CHURCH.
