Joan E. (Kondis) Hess

Of West Mifflin, on November 23, 2023, age 85.  Beloved wife of 66 years of Sylvester “Jack” Hess; daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kish) Kondis; loving mother of John Hess, Donna (Shawn) Sabo and the late Karen (late Stephan) Hathorne; grandmother of Victoria Hathorne.  Joan was a 1955 graduate of Munhall High School and a member of Holy Spirit Church, Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish.  She loved reading, shopping, music, collecting ceramic Santa’s and dogs and being with her family.  She was especially gifted with sewing and crocheting and used her talents to create numerous blankets for the Linus Project.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Monday from 2-8 PM. Funeral Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, Joan’s family suggest memorial contributions to the Linus Project (www.projectlinus.org) or Passavant Memorial Home (pmhfos.org).
