John S. Collins Jr.

Of Lincoln Place, after 5 years of a courageous battle with cancer, on November 12, 2020, age 73.  Son of the late John Sr. and Catherine (Vandergraft) Collins; beloved husband of 50 years of Mary Louise “Lou Lou” (Repasi) Collins; father of John (Jennifer) Collins of West Mifflin and Jason (Angela) Collins of West Mifflin; brother of Thamer (Geri) Collins, Erich (Phyllis) Collins and Calvin Collins; loving Pap of John, Jacob, Brandon, Josie, Jenna, Alysa, Josh and Judy.  John was a Veteran of the Army serving in the Vietnam War.  He was a retired mail handler and a member of the American Legion Post 712.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a motorcycle enthusiast.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
