John J. "Jay" Wobrak, of West Mifflin, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2025, at the age of 69. He was the beloved husband of 31 years of Barbara (Gross) Wobrak; loving father of Stephen (Kristina) Grottenthaler and Christine (Jeremiah) Kelley; adoring Pappy of Nathaniel, Brandon, and Kayden Grottenthaler, and Larry, John, and Casey Kelley; son of Barbara (Petrick) and the late John J. Wobrak, Sr.; brother of Steve (the late Michelle), Mark (Dreena), Jeff (Kelly), Phil (Anita), Doug (Darla), and the late Matthew and Richard (Cindy survives) Wobrak; also survived by nieces, nephews, his life long friend, Ralph (Fil) Manns, and faithful companion, Jax.
Prior to his retirement, Jay was an electronics technician with Bombardier. As an avid gun enthusiast, he was a member of the Trafford Gun Club, Thompson Club, and NRA. He enjoyed riding on his motorcycle, loved music and animals, and would often be found in the evenings relaxing on the porch sipping his whiskey and smoking his cigar. His family was of the utmost importance to him - he was always there for everyone. He was the "glue that held the family together," and will be dearly missed by those who loved him most.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2-4 & 6-8 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 11 AM. Condolences may be left at www.swgfuneralhome.com.
