Joseph A. Dzugan, Jr., of Munhall, passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 66.
He was the son of the late Joseph A., Sr., and Nancy (Andreucci) Dzugan; brother of the late Joyce (John "Jack" survives) Valiquette; cherished uncle and godfather of Nicole "Nikki" (Rochelle) Valiquette; great-uncle of Gianna Valiquette; and special cousin of Mandy Meaner. He is also survived by his extended family of cousins, and the firefighters of the Munhall Volunteer Fire Company #5, where Joe proudly served as a member. He eventually rose to the role of Fire Chief before his retirement. His leadership, dedication, and courage left a lasting impact on the department and the many lives he helped protect throughout his years of service. Even after stepping away from active duty, Joseph remained deeply connected to the fire service and the community he loved.
He found great joy in cooking and barbecuing, often bringing family and friends together around a grill, where laughter and good food were always plentiful. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished time spent fishing for walleye on Lake Erie, finding peace and fulfillment on the water. Joe was also a skilled and patient craftsman with a lifelong love for automobiles. He took pride in building cars from the ground up, a hobby that showcased his mechanical talent.
Joe was a proud member of the American Slovak Citizens of Munhall, where he previously served as President and bartender.
