Laurel Lynne (McLaughlin) Thompson

Laurel Lynne Thompson, of West Mifflin, was ushered back to the spirit world on November 2, 2025. After many years of battling cancer, she has laid down her torch to begin a new journey on another plane. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Jesse) Cooney, her siblings Karen (Eldon) Sutphin, Donna Travis, Roy McLaughlin and Colleen (Chuck Keebler) Wrobleski, and many dear nieces, nephews, and grandkitties. She is preceded in death by her parents Pauline "Pudge" and Roy "Pete" McLaughlin, and her siblings Mark McLaughlin and John (Janice) McLaughlin. Laurel enjoyed the beautifully simple things life had to offer, like a cat on her lap, canning her veggies and tending her herb garden. She loved her family more than words can describe. Her laughter will be missed by the very many people who continue to love her memory in her physical absence. May her body rest now, and her soul fill the world with the joy she brought to everyone that met her. .
