Of Munhall, passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Homestead, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary Elizabeth (Conley) Coyne.
Lawrence was the beloved father of Susan (Donies DeHoniesto) Coyne and Lawrence (Lisa Myers) Coyne, and the late Jacqueline Coyne. He is also survived by his companion, Patricia Remench. He was the brother of Kathleen Coyne and Noreen (Richard) Terrick, and was preceded in death by his siblings Elaine Coyne, Rita (late William) Mayo, Martin (late Marie) Coyne, James Coyne (Arlene, who survives), Ann (late Leonard) Buban, John Coyne, Barbara Suto (Rudy, who survives), Thomas Coyne, and Patricia (late Thomas) Hilla.
He was a loving grandfather to Garrett Davis Jr., Sydney Davis, D’Brial, Jaien, Vaiya, and Taiven DeHoniesto, and great-grandfather to Garrett Davis III. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lawrence honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from U.S. Steel Homestead Works and also worked as a laborer for the Borough of Munhall. He was a former member of Munhall VFD #5, a Munhall Baseball coach, and an avid Notre Dame fan.
Family and friends will be received at the Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, on Friday, May 8th, from 1–4 PM and 6–8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 9th, at 10 AM, at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Homestead. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sivitz Hospice, 200 JHF Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15217 (jaapgh.org).
