Margaret (McGreevy) Hinchman

Margaret (McGreevy) Hinchman, of St Therese Plaza, Munhall, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her son’s house, on Monday, August 17, 2020. Margaret was born Margaret Mary McGreevy in Oil City, PA on January 31, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce E. Hinchman of Fairview, PA. Margaret was the daughter of Donald McGreevy and Marie Russell McGreevy. She was the 7th of 12 children. Margaret is survived by sisters Teresa McGreevy, of Ocala, Florida and Patricia McGreevy, OSB of Erie, PA, a brother, Joseph McGreevy of Venus, PA, and a sister, Florence Bird of Greensboro, GA, a daughter, Diane Plaster (Larry) of Janesville, California, a son, Daniel (Maureen) Hinchman of Munhall, PA, a step-son, Craig (Marge) Hinchman of Erie, PA, and 2 step daughters, Susan (Tom) Avsec of Austinburgh, OH and Pamela (Ted) Hinchman of Evanston, IL. Grand children, Anna, Daniel, Jessica, Joshua, Christopher, Devin, Andrew and Stephen. Margaret turned 93 last January. She lived on her own near family until Monday, Aug. 10th, when, for health concerns, she moved to her son, Daniel’s residence. Daniel and his wife, Maureen were able to comfort and care for her, and express their love to her. It was really the best of all possible situations for Margaret. She was at home. She was with family. She was comfortable. She felt loved. Margaret, who was deaf, had often said that she always wanted to be able to sing. She said that her father had a beautiful singing voice. Now, she can hear once again. Now, she can sing. Now, she is with Jesus, and we know in our hearts that she is singing and dancing.
