Marian L. (Loosz) Kontra

Marian L. Kontra, of Virginia Beach, formerly of Munhall, passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 89.

She was the beloved wife of 65 years of the late Joseph John Kontra; loving mother of Tina Salopek of Virginia Beach, VA, Craig (Connie) Kontra of Huntingtown, MD, Shawn Kontra of Ellenwood, GA, and Joseph (Karan) Kontra of Port Republic, MD; cherished grandmother of Joseph Salopek, Brian Kontra, Ashley Salopek, and Angel Kontra; daughter of the late Alec and Mary (Dudas) Loosz; and sister of the late Robert (Carol) Loosz.

Marian was a member of Saint Elias Byzantine Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and cherished her conversations with family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 20, 10-11 AM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Service will conclude the gathering at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
