Marion R. Shortall (Augustine), formerly of West Homestead, PA, passed away at the Country Meadows Retirement Community of Mechanicsburg, PA, on November 27, 2020, 16 years to the day that her husband Paul passed. She was a caring wife, mother and friend; everyone who knew Marion loved her. She was predeceased by her parents, Florenze and Elenora (Tschippert) Augustine; her husband of 58 years, Paul Vincent Martin Shortall; and sisters, Lorraine Kraemer and Jean Riccardi. She is survived by sons, Martin (Cynthia) of New Cumberland, PA, and Kenneth (Francisco Goncalves) of Chula Vista, CA; grandchildren, Matthew of New Cumberland, PA, and Jennifer (Stanley) Bielski of Pittsburgh, PA; great-granddaughters, Everly Rose and Aurelia Iris Bielski; sisters, Eleanor Bullister and Clair Bakke; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Marion had many interests including puzzles, fishing, sports of all kinds including football and baseball, and being with her family. She was especially fond of “Judge Judy” and “Jeopardy!” The family would like to thank the management and staff of Country Meadows West Shore and Lifesong Hospice for their tender and compassionate care of Marion, especially in this era of COVID. Additionally, the family would also like to thank the many friends and relatives who took care of Marion, especially in her later years, by offering help around the house, grocery shopping, cookies, haircuts and the occasional glass of Chardonnay. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Private services have been entrusted to the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. Interment at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
