Marshall J. Hartsell

Marshall J. "Marsh" Hartsell, of Munhall, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the age of 58.  Beloved son of Nancy (Costantine) and the late Anthony Peneff.  Husband of Jane (Kester).  Father of Bradley (Nicole) Kester-Hartsell and Rebecca "Boo" Hartsell.  Loving Pops of Brody , Braxton, Jordan "Shrimp", Tawoin and Kyloren.  Brother of Yvonne Talarico (who was always there for him) and Lora Brown (with whom he shared his love of music).  Uncle of Nicole and Natalie Talarico and Candace and Nancy Brown.  Great uncle of Allegra , Kanyen and Lorraine.  Also survived by his loving surrogate sister Julie Hallahan Panfil, cousins and many friends.  Marshall was employed at the VA Hospital in Oakland and a veteran of the Army serving in Germany.  He had a deep love of the Lord and his family.   He was an extremely talented drummer, winning several drum competitions and was a member of over one-hundred bands.  He also had a love for Classic 60's cars and shared a 1966 Chevy Belair with his son Brad.  Marshall lived the rock-star lifestyle.  He had a great sense of humor, was very proud to serve his country, always had a craving for shrimp and never met a stranger, making new friends wherever he ventured.  He always looked forward to attending services at The Faith Bible Baptist Church in Turtle Creek. Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main St., Munhall on Monday, May 8 from 2 until 8 PM where a Funeral Service will take place at 7 PM with Pastor Gary Lapietra officiating.  Interment at the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies on Tuesday at 1:30 PM.  Condolences may be left at www.swgfuneralhome.com.  XOXOXO
