"What one does for a mother when she is living...One will never regret when she is gone." It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved, IMMA, Martha Danchak, who left us on May 29, 2024, at the age of 99 years and 7 months.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Sadie (Thomas) Aber; and brothers, Michael, John, David, George, Thomas, and Brennha Aber. She was the other half of the late Andrew Danchak; loving mom of Andrea (the late Stan) Kerkentzes; Sittoo to Tami (Dean) Galitsas, the late Brandon Trimmer, and Lauren (Evan) Lambert; also, Stana and Kosta Galitsas and Aaron Lambert; Sittitoo to Alivia Bogdon.
Martha was full of love, laughter, and resilience. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She enjoyed baking for her church, Kola dancing with ChiChi, quilting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, doing word searches, and volunteering for Hospice. She particularly enjoyed baking for family and friends, especially her Syrian bread. Martha and Andrew loved hosting their annual January 7 Christmas open house. She loved to travel and visited many states. Also, she loved her cruises. But more importantly, her biannual trips to Florida.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the St. Michael Orthodox Church, 146 3rd Ave, Rankin, PA 15104, where a Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 AM.
